eSPORTS is a project run by the World Confederation of FC Barcelona supporters clubs which aims to bring young people closer to the supporters club movement through their Federations.
Each federation will organise a eSPORTS Penyes Fubol Games tournament and select a supporters club from the zone to host the event, which is aimed at youngsters from 8-18 years of age. The players will have to play to the same video game, Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) by Konami.
Each preliminary stage is for a maximum of 48 players, and inscriptions will be carried out by the corresponding federation. It is important that there are participants from all the supporters clubs in the zone.
Each individual player will be considered a team, and they will be divided into 16 groups of 3 players, who will participate in a league.
The winners of each group will move on to the next stage, with the knockout rounds being played as single matches.
The four highest scorers in the tournament will be awarded a special prize and go on to represent their federation in the final stage, which will take place at the FC Barcelona facilities to coincide with the Joan Gamper Trophy, within the framework of the World Congress of Supporters Clubs.
In the final stage, each federation will act as a single team. Two participants will play individually, and the other two as a pair.
Each match will consist of two individual games and one doubles, with one point being awarded for each win. In the group stage, the classification will be determined by the numbers of points accumulated, while in the knockout round the team with most points will move on to the next stage.
