PB Ha Noi raises €3,200 for flood victims

Severe floods caused vast destruction across Vietnam last month, with hundreds of deaths and missing
Vietnam has experienced heavy rains over the past month that have led to severe flooding across the country, wreaking havoc everywhere, with more than a hundred dead and missing. The Penya Blaugrana de Ha Noi immediately set up a solidarity action to respond to the needs of the poorest part of the population, which is the one that has suffered the most from the storm damage. This supporters’ club is located in the Vietnamese province of the same name and is one of the newest Penyes in the whole movement, having only been made official in April but already has more than 700 members.
Through donations made by members of the supporters’ club itself and an auction of different Barça objects, including a first team shirt, the PB Ha Noi raised 3,200 euros for the victims. Five members travelled for four days from Ha Noi to Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces, very remote and isolated areas, almost 2,000 kilometres away. Once there, they distributed the funds to 77 households that are still recovering and in very serious difficulties.
The president of the Penya, Vu Dinh Tien, thanked everyone who took part in the efforts, explaining that the supporters’ clubs movement, Barça's values and the "More than a Club" motto were what had “inspired” them to make the plans happen.
