New eSports Penyes app undergoes first pilot tests

The mobile app allows eSports Penyes Futbol Games tournaments to be adapted to a virtual format, with the Pro Evolution Soccer videogame
The eSports Penyes Futbol Games tournament, which brings together supporters to compete at Konami's eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer videogame, was one of the activities at the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation forced to stop due to the pandemic. However, adapting to the circumstances and at the same time maintaining its firm commitment to eSports, the Confederation has decided to create the eSports Penyes app, which allows the creation and management of online tournaments. The application, which is in its final phase of development, is scheduled to launch on the App Store (Apple) and Google Play Store (Android) markets.
Before its full implementation, the Confederation is carrying out pilot tests with the collaboration of some of its federations. Specifically, the Federació de Penyes del Barcelonès Est and the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León have already organised test tournaments amongst their members. From their respective homes, the participants have played eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 in online mode, and have kept in touch through the eSports Penyes app. They have also registered their final results, so that organisers knew which player would go through to the next round.
The Confederation plans to carry out more pilot tests with the eSports Penyes application in the coming weeks, in order to strengthen its operation before official tournaments are held. This will keep one of the most successful activities among the Penyes movement going.
