More than 600 ‘penyistes’ travel to watch Manchester United vs. Barça

Supporters' Clubs from around Europe will travel to support their side and will meet before the match in the English city
FC Barcelona's first team will be cheered on by a large number of supporters in their Champions League quarter-final first leg, which will take place on April 10th. In addition, the World Federation has organised a lunch and meet up between clubs, partners and fans on matchday at the Manchester Smokehouse&Cellar to begin to build up the atmosphere.
In total, some 640 supporters from all over the world will travel to take in the match at Old Trafford. Of these, the Polish supporters club Fan Club Barça Polska will send 38% (240 members). This club, formed in 2006, has more than 1,300 members and are a frequent presence on away trips.
There are other international clubs, such as the Penya Blaugrana London of Great Britain, which will send 30 members, the Penya Blaugrana Budapest with 9, the Penya Union Blaugrana of Newcastle with 8, and "Blaugranor" from the North of France, also with 8. In total, 30 supporters clubs from the World Federation will send 370 fans to the United Kingdom. From Catalonia and Spain, 242 members will travel, including 13 from the Penya Gastronòmica Barça.
From outside of Europe, groups such as the Penya Ànima Blaugrana Shanghai in China, Penya Barcelonista São Paulo in Brazil, Peña Barcelonista Cafetera de Cali from Colombia and the Penya Barcelonista Beirut will also attend.
The World Federation has organised a meetup for supporters clubs, partners and fans on matchday, to get the atmosphere going ahead of the game at a decisive phase of the season.
This meeting will take place from 4pm at the Manchester Smokehouse&Cellar, where a lunch with representatives of the Federation and numerous supporters clubs from around Europe will take place.
