FC Barcelona board ratifies Ramon Térmens as supporters' clubs ombudsman

Role mediates on behalf of 1,245 official supporters’ clubs, 30 territorial federations and the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation
At yesterday’s ordinary session of the FC Barcelona board of directors at the Camp Nou, the appointment of Ramon Térmens as the penyes ombudsman for a further period of four years was ratified. Térmens was named at the last plenary session of the Penyes Council last December 22.
Pursuant to Penya regulations, the role of ombudsman must be filled by nomination of the Penyes Council and then accepted by the Club. The position involves mediating between the 1,245 official supporters’ clubs, the 30 territorial federations and the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation, ensuring that such governing standards as the statutes and regulations are adequately enforced.
According to article 20 of those regulations, the ombudsman’s responsibilities include defence and protection of the rights of penyes and mediation in any conflict that might arise between any members of the movement.
The ombudsman’s intervention in an affair may be at the behest of a Penya president, the president of a territorial federation, the president of the Confederation, i.e. Antoni Guil, the Penyes Council or by order of the Club itself.
