The new accord is the result of the complicity between both parties and guarantees the stability and sustainability of the Confederation, while also aligning the supporters’ movement with FC Barcelona’s own strategic objectives, as outlined by the Penyes Segle XXI project.
Aligned strategic plans
The FC Barcelona Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation shall continue to work on Penyes Segle XXI project, whose main goal is to boost the growth of FC Barcelona on the ground and consolidate its position as the best Club in the world in terms of social affairs. Hence, in alignment with FC Barcelona’s own strategic plan, the Confederation is committed to nine major projects that are also set out in this new collaboration agreement.
Among others, these projects seek to encourage FC Barcelona members to take part in a series of activities promoted by the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation, from the promotion of grassroots sport, to activities of a cultural and recreational nature, while also promoting charity projects, in collaboration with the Barça Foundation, and thereby transmitting the club’s inherent values ?on a local level.
In addition, the international expansion of the Penya movement, along with FC Barcelona’s intention to achieve growth in strategic markets, should help to raise awareness of and further establish the Barça brand around the world.
Apart from fostering the strategic plan, the new agreement guarantees the sustainability of the supporters' movement, thanks to the agreements between FC Barcelona's main partners and the Confederation, whereby assets provided by the Club shall be added those of its Penyes, meaning that the club's main partners will increase their presence in different regions.
Agreements are also established in other areas such as hospitality, collaboration with the Agrupació de Clubs i Penyes de Futbol del FC Barcelona and the transfer of management of the Penyista Card to the Confederation.
